Queen’s platinum jubilee

The Society will have a stall at the New Earswick Big Jubilee Lunch on the green space behind the Folk Hall on Saturday 4 June. Join us to share memories of celebrations of past royal events.

AGM 2022

The Society’s AGM this year was held on 20th April at 6.30pm in the Folk Hall in New Earswick. The minutes will be posted on the web-site shortly. The AGM was followed by a very interesting talk by Mike Smith on growing up in New Earswick and his errant father.

NELHS in the Folk Hall

The Society has been been very lucky. The York branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild offered, towards the end of 2019, to include the Society’s logo – a picture of a typical group of New Earswick houses – in a hanging to be placed above the main entrance to the Folk Hall. Now it is there to be admired by all. Very many thanks to the Embroiderers’ Guild!
